There are so many locations for a unique and spectacular ceremony at The Canyon or at the nearby Tarras Church.
At The Canyon we know how important your big day is. We provide the perfect setting for your dream wedding and we're with you all the way.
The Canyon is ready to go with our beautiful indoor and outdoor dining tables, hardwood benches and leather lounge suites. There's seating for up to 110 people plus the option to hire in addtional furtniture for larger gatherings.
It's a centrally heated and beautifully furnished private restaurant space with a full commercial kitchen, a fully stocked bar with chillers, 5 toilets, indoor and outdoor lighting, power, gas, dinnerware, cutlery and glassware making it ready for your catering provider and bar staff to turn up and serve.
This saves a considerable amount of time and a lot of money hiring everything separately and having it transported in and out again the next day. All of this leaves more time for you to simply turn up with your guests and enjoy your day.
You can choose from any of our preferred caterers on our vendors list who have experience with us and whose quality we can endorse to create your food. In choosing your caterer you have the option to either:

Where is The Canyon?
Only 15 minutes from the Cromwell bridge, 30-40 minutes from Wanaka and about an 1 hour from Queenstown Airport; we are conveniently located in the Otago region
Hours
You'll have access is from 7:30am on wedding day to 11:15pm with guests and transport departing by 11:30pm
How many people?
We can host up to 385, with weddings being usually up to 200.
Helicopter landing?
Yes we have a heli pad right next to the venue so you can land in style in full view of your guests. We have packages including helicopter rides from Cromwell, Wanaka and Queenstown
Carparking and Access
We have parking for up to 64 cars & 8 coaches with 3 accessible parks right outside the door.

You don't need to worry about the weather as you'll have the instant wet weather option to get married in the restaurant under Kuru Kuru or by the cosy fire
